Installation Methods
Tactile Solution’s stainless steel tactile indicators can be fixed to the substrate either with an adhesive or mechanically with screws.
In the adhesive fixing method, firstly a two-part epoxy adhesive is applied to the substrate tactile holes. This is followed by inserting the tactile. The adhesive needs to be fully cured before they can be walked on.
The tactile indicators come with a plug moulded to the stem when fixes the tactiles to the substrate without any adhesive. The mechanical method for installation of tactiles, is a fast and effective installation technique.
Polyurethane Tactile indicators
- PER 240 UNIT BOX
Being manufactured from a thermoplastic polymer, these PolyTact Polyurethane Tactile Indicators have a good range of physical properties which make them ideal for application as per the tactile guidance systems.
These physical properties are – high tensile and shear strengths, high impact durability. It is also highly resistant UV damage, deformation and hydrolysis. PolyTact Polyurethane Tactiles are designed with an embedded concentric circle design that flows into a smooth, beveled outer edge – this special design makes it highly slip resistant and hence very effective.
Tactile Solution’s PolyTact Polyurethane Tactile Indicators are high-quality solid polyurethane tactiles. These economical yet highly durable tactiles are designed and manufactured to comply with AS 1428.4.1:2009.
